The Mercy Ranong Foundation was established as an independent, fully registered Thai Charity in 2022 to continue the education and care of the Moken People of Ranong Thailand originally started by Father Joseph Maier of the Human Development Foundation (HDF) or Mercy Centre Thailand. The foundation currently runs a kindergarten on the island of Koh Lao and a home for primary and secondary aged students in the city of Ranong.
