Description Reason for Special Event   ADMIT QUANTITY (ADULTS) SHOWN on payment receipt to the Special Event on 12 May 2017 to acknowledge Fr Joe's incredible 45 years in the slum of Klong Toey Bangkok. Please note that this contribution will be 100% allocated to the children of Mercy but is NOT tax-deductible to you. Please print & present your payment receipt for admission to the special event. We encourage you to attend this milestone event with family and friends and meet “Fr Joe” and his capable assistants. When HDF Mercy Centre first opened its doors, it was met with the happy sound of children’s feet, skipping with energy and keen to learn writing and arithmetic. Words cannot describe the faces of the grateful parents that finally had a place where their children could be safe, fed and cared for while they worked. 45 years on, the HDF Mercy Centre is still a safe shelter for street kids with five orphanages, a hospice, a home for mothers and children with HIV/AIDS, a 400-pupil kindergarten, a community meeting place and is truly a serene haven in the slum with its humble gardens and playgrounds.
